OPIFICIOjm was born as a space that refused any predefined definition even before finding its own destiny. Not a venue. Not a shop. Not a gallery. Its destiny was to become a living organism made of matter, gestures, sound, food, objects, relationships and thought: a place where functions were not rigid compartments, but fluid states of the same vision.

At the origin of everything there was a story written many years before the space actually existed: a tale set in 2020, in which a “modern farmer” produced what he consumed. OPIFICIOjm was born from the encounter between that vision and the unexpected availability of the space itself: first as a possibility, then as a real attempt to make that vision concrete. There was no format at the base of it, but a practical act: transforming an empty space into a real ecosystem, shaping a way of living in which work, culture, conviviality, music and matter could coexist without hierarchies. OPIFICIOjm was conceived as a physical and digital platform at the same time: a space where everything was visible and everything was purchasable, from furniture to objects, all the way to projects, and at the same time narrated online. A system in which the flow of people generated by the restaurant, the lounge and the cultural initiatives became an active part of the life of the space and of the realities exhibited within it.
The vision was simple and radical: produce, exhibit, share, live, all in the same place. Every element was born from a real gesture: tables built from pallets and Chippendale legs, lamps made from yarn spools, hybrid furniture, imperfect and unique.
